circ is a rollator that lasts longer. By replacable wear parts, the robust, reusable base frame and a user-centered process around it, a largely closed-loop system is created with considerate use of resources and energy.
approach
By analyzing existing rollator models and adapting an existing rollator, we were able to test different ergonomics. In discussions with long-term users, we were able to gain an overview of the challenges and problems associated with everyday use.
product life cycle
In order to combine ergonomic and user-focused requirements with the demands of sustainable product development, we opted for a circulation system.
the rollator
At product level, a robust yet lightweight aluminum frame is combined with easily replaceable wear parts such as handles, seat cover and tires. To meet ergonomic requirements, the rollator offers a stable stand, can be folded in width and is easily height-adjustable. The interaction surfaces are highlighted in color.
unboxing
The customer's first contact with the product is through the packaging. The rollator can be unpacked in a few simple steps. The packaging also serves as an assembly aid.
functionality
Frame structure
The side frames contain both brakes and height adjustment. In combination with the slightly conical silhouette, the conventional shape of a rollator is redefined.
Height adjustment
The handle and seat height are adjusted simultaneously with a single movement. At the same time, you can support yourself on the intermediate struts without losing your balance.
Foldability
circ can be folded in two ways: when the side elements are lowered, the height is reduced to 70 cm. The rollator can also be folded together in width.
return
If the rollator is no longer needed, the QR code on the packaging is scanned. This automatically initiates a collection by a shipping provider.
reconditioning
The used rollators are dismantled, cleaned and contact and wear parts are replaced. The reused frame parts are particularly robust and durable and the wear parts are as easy to replace and recycle as possible.
